Several new faces in Jaya's
expanded ministry

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalitha on Saturday expanded her team inducting 19 more ministers, all of cabinet rank, raising its strength to 25.

The new ministers were administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor Fathima Beevi at a simple ceremony at Raj Bhavan in Madras.

On May 14, the All India Anna DMK chief was sworn in as the chief minister and five others had taken oath as cabinet ministers alongside.

The nineteen minister sworn in on Saturday were: V Jayaraman, S Chemmalai, C Dorairaj, P C Ramasamy, O Panneerselvam, N Dalavai Sundaram, A Anwar Raja, K Pandurangan, S S Thirunvukkarasu, P Dhanapal, R Viswanathan, P Valarmathi, V Subramanian, Nainar Nagendran, K P Rajendra Prasad, C V Shanmugham, S P Shanmughanathan, A K Selvaraj and A Venkatachalam.

While all 19 ministers have made it to the cabinet for the first time, for 11 of them it's their first term in the assembly too.
