With Chief Minister M Karunanidhi conceding defeat, AIADMk
supremo J Jayalalitha announced that she would meet Governor Fathima
Beevi to discuss ministry formation after the AIADMK legislature
party elected its leader on Monday.
The AIADMK has won 48 of 87 seats, results for which were
declared, and was leading in about 80 constituencies and was set to
romp home with a tally of 125 seats and form a government of its
own judging by the leads, the secular front's tally is expected to
cross over 200.
The ruling DMK has won only 10 seats, and its ally the Bharatiya Janata Party one seat.
