The Kerala train mishap

Calicut track restoration by July 11

Track restoration work on the Calicut-Shoranur line following Friday's accident at Kadalundi in Kerala is likely to be completed by July 11, according to railway authorities.

The restoration work is in full swing with senior officials led by Divisional Railway Manager Amar Nath camping at the site and overseeing the restoration work.

Meanwhile, two submerged bogies were pulled out, while work was on to lift the other four bogies.

The authorities felt that a few more bodies may be found once the remaining bogies were retrieved.
