Kozhikode hospital flooded with anxious relatives

It was a sea of humanity at the Medical College Hospital in Kozhikode, where victims of the Mangalore-Madras Mail accident had been brought.

Braving heavy rain, relatives of the victims had gathered at the hospital awaiting information about the condition of their kin. Bodies of four persons, including that of a woman, had been brought to the hospital.

According to hospital sources, some 45 injured had been brought in.

Heavy traffic between the accident spot and the MCH had begun causing road blocks hampering speedy movement of ambulances and other rescue vehicles.

Fire engines from all over Kozhikode district had moved to the accident spot, besides policemen and voluntary rescue workers.
