Curfew relaxed for few hours in Manipur

The indefinite curfew clamped in Manipur in the wake Monday's violence that left 13 dead, was relaxed for four and a half hours from 5.00 am on Friday in Imphal East and Imphal West districts.

People turned out in large numbers to purchase essential commodities amidst tight security arrangements.

Indefinite curfew was imposed in Imphal following large-scale violence in protest against the Union government's decision to extend the Naga ceasefire to Manipur.
