PMK exit not to affect AIADMK front: TMC

The Tamil Maanila Congress, an ally of the AIADMK-led front in Tamil Nadu, on Saturday said the exit of Pattali Makkal Kacchi would hardly have any impact on the alliance.

The TMC President G K Moopanar said that he did not know why PMK had chosen to leave the front.

Pointing out that PMK entry into the front was 'dramatic', Moopanar said Ramadoss joined the front on his own volition.

"Did we invite him to join the front?" Moopanar said reacting to PMK's decision to sever ties with AIADMK.

Remaining non-committal, Moopanar said he was not aware whether the government's decision to arrest Karunanidhi was done in haste or after a deep thought.

Asked for his opinion on the Centre's action following the arrest of two Union ministers and the comments made by the principal sessions judge, Moopanar said, "I don't know legal matters."
