Security forces on full alert in Manipur

Security and police posts were put on maximum alert on Tuesday following plans by some Naga organisations to take out processions welcoming the ceasefire agreement in some hill areas of Manipur on Wednesday.

The United Naga Council had announced that it would organise processions and rallies at some hill areas in Manipur on Wednesday to welcome the ceasefire.

Official sources said security measures have been tightened at places where Naga and other communities live together.
