Views:The views expressed in this column compelled me to express my feeling in the matter.Actually my heart bleeds of the situation that our leaders seems to be happy that the situation is now under control.Often in these type of situation we start crying for tit for tat sort of rhetoric.but have we ever introspect that why these type of situation often come in our way?The basic problem is that we blind people are led by blind leaders.Fifty years back, Gandhi-Nehru started the concept of muslim appeasement and that has become swearword for politician of all age in the post-independence India.Cowardice in the garb of Secularism & tolerance has so ingrained in our blood that we can't even see the blood of our fellowmen falling from the river.Muslims are only abiding by the Koranic injuctions of eternal war against unbelievers. It is only we Hindus who are the sole custodian of Peace , tolerance , universal brotherhood etc.Actually, I feel it is high time for we Hindus to introspect and take action of our own.

Views:I am not happy at all, the way our Govt. is handling the case. We should not be so soft who are enemy to our country and killing our people. The way they have killed our soliders, it looks like we are living in a society where the jungle rule exists. Look at US, how they are dealing with China and other countries. Sure, we did have a character called SHIKANDI in our MahaBharatha epic, but today all Indians have become SHIKANDIs. How can such a small nation like Bangladesh whose very existence is because of India, dare to cause so much harm to us ? It's because everyone knows that India is just a sleeping tiger. It will never wake up. Can you ever imagine Mexico or any other small south American country taking the lives of 15 U.S soldiers ? Well, hell will break loose and the whole coountry might have been bombed by now. Why is this always happening to India ? Everytime we are caught with our pants down ? Remember the last hijacking managed so well by Pakistan ? Everytime we Indians are in a reactive mode. When do we get into a proactive mode ? I think the root cause for all our problems is our spineless and corrupt politicians. Look at the average age of the cabinet. I always ask this question to my friends - Will you ever hire anyone older than seventy years for any job or task, if you have to pay their salaries from your pocket ? The answer will be a resounding NO ! Well, that's what we are doing - we have such old bandicoots, some of them who cannot even walk, in our cabinet. I think if India has to attain the full potential of all its great citizens as a country, we need to get rid of all these scumbags and get fresh, younger set of people to enter in our poltics. Is it not sad that Indians do so well in so many countries and yet as a nation, India is very far from it's true potential. Views:Bangladeshis have no concept of population control. 'Reproduce and leave for Allah' is their principle. A small country of theirs cannot accomodate this population. So push them to India. The event of the death of our Jawans reveal nothing but ineffictiveness in checking the cross border crimes so far. Like Kargil event, let this send also another signal to us to get up. A photograph published in the Times of India revealed the way they have transported the bodies of our Jawans. They have forgotten the basic Geneva Conventions. Even in the Kargil event the respect to the dead Soldiers were given by both sides irrespecive of which side they belonged. It is high time to show the Bangladeshis where they stand.

Views:An Ode to a degenerating democracy -------------------------------------- The Government: ----------------- At first they were caught napping, like they had been during the Kargil intrusion.They also dithered for three days to "find out" facts, just like they did in Kargil. In both cases there were serious intelligence lapses. The difference being that in the Kargil intrusion, we responded, though belatedly with our military might to drive out the intruders from Pakistan. Whereas in the current intrusion from Bangladesh, they have matured more to wait patiently for the intruders to vacate by themselves after they had caused enough humilitiation. After "finding out" facts they have been magnanimous to have agreed with the Bangladesh government that status quo should be maintained in border and that both countries should strive for peace and respect each other. The Ministry of External Affairs under the able leadership of our Knight in Shining Armour, Jaswant Singh, has started calling this as "local adventurism" in the most brilliant of diplomatic languages. This also means that they are virtually absolving the Bangladesh government of any "planned" hostility. So let us forget that we lost 16 soldiers whose families may wail over their mutilated corpses that are not even identifiable. So why cry over soldiers whom we do not know for sure if they are our own men. Let us find out more facts before taking any action. Nobody puts the question Why, the bloody hell why not even a single neighbouring country believes us, respects us, loves us. Have you ever cared for finding the answer, No. because we are fed with the super ego of righteousness, we are always correct and good. My brother viewers, there are absolutely no takers for this self assigned righteousness. We ( read: our useless Governments)never tried to win the hearts of our neighbours. Nobody will believe us. That is the rotten politics of our Governments to thrive and survive and amass wealth for its elected representatives. We cannot solve any problem, Kashmir or Northest or Tamil eelam. It is a must to realise that it is the PEOPLE, I repeat PEOPLE, ordinary people who count, not the bloody Politicians or the Bureaucracy who fatten their wealth at the cost of our sham democracy. Let us learn the art of winning the Hearts of our neighbours by Humanness and Love. It must get to our heads that brutal oppressive power never solve any problem nor gives us any peace. There was no example for its success, including the much cited Israel. It doesn't have real peace. These political parties and Bureaucrats will never true peace to come to the People of this country. Patriotism should not be made the last refuge of a scoundrel Let us strive for a People Oriented politics. Let us bother about Human Lives not the Land. As long as you care for the Land in the name of Patriotism and Motherland or Bharathmata, the loss of hundreds and thousands of innocent people will continue. The Bangladesh issue or The Pakistan problems are the creations of their anti-people political parties which is always kept alive equally by our so called democratic Governments.

Views:I feel bad for the jawans of BSF and their families- they are made pawns in the hands of vested interests on both sides of west or east border. It is high time, we in India started to value each jawan's life and make the respective authorities account for it. This is the time we sent back all those Bangladeshi illegal immigrants back to Bangladesh, starting from the slums of East Delhi thru Bihar/ Bengal belt. As a sign of respect, none of the patriotic Indian should employ illegal Bangladeshi maid in East Delhi's residential area.
