Views:It is just inexcusable on India's part not to punish Bangladesh swiftly. I can understand that they don't want to flare up relations with Bangladesh because of the Pakistan situation. But, here, we are talking about the lost lives of our courageous soldiers. The message that should be imparted is that no one messes with an Indian soldier and gets away with it, particularly not after what has been done to him under torture. It pains me to find out how the govt can be quiet when our brave soldiers, fighting for all of us, are brutally murdered. Let there be planned action!

Views:The people at the border villages are ignorant and they can hardly know the size of India and also remember that even though India is very big country , the people deployed to manage the borders are very small in number.and its not always easy to detect the incursions.the villagers would have thought that this is all the India Army is ..and would have easily over powered the men in uniform who are conditioned not to shoot at unarmed men (thats the greatness of Indian defence forces) but the barbaric attiude of the villagers has to be addressed with swift commando operations. Agreed that such operations will give a stick to the Anti India forces with in Bangaladesh, but by not doing so we are encouraging them to repeat it and get away with it under the pre text of good neighbourly relations..If everyone in the reagion feels that we are actiong as a big brother ..so be it lets really demostrate what a big brother really does. Its easy to say by the Army and defence ministry that we can defend our national borders, but as of now they are not able to demonstrate to the public of India that they are really capable of doing it , Am I paying my tax to see my fellow country men being butchered ?. As long as the Govt demonstrates that it can strike the public wil not belive it. Enough of the parades and display of might on Republic day ..show the world that they are not just toys to display , show the world that you can use them. I am not suggesting that you start firing at every man who crosses the border , but atleast when there is some involvement of the other side defence forces then show your teeth also, show that you can stand errect and fight ..

In the absence of an appropriate reply from the highest authorities from Bangladesh within a deadline (short number of days) India should take military action.

I think the Bangladeshi PM should offer a unconditional appology and give adequate compensation to the next of kin of the killed soldiers. Its a pity that the same soldiers who go to the borders to lay down their lives are treated as disposable commodity by the Vajpayee government. The PM should show us in no uncertain manner of how he wants to compensate the spilled blood of the brave Indian soildiers killed by the enemy. Views:It just reieforces our image as docile subservient nation whose soldiers can be killed with impunity by neighbours who are hardly one tenth of our size. This is the same case whether it is Pakistan, Nepal or Sri Lanka. Do you think any other country in the world whether it is China, Korea or any Western Nation would have tolerated violations of this kind. We can take a leaf or two from Israel who respond with force and ferocity to any such violations. Collectively the leadership and people need to develop a sense of self-respect. The lack of Infrastructure and exhorbitant transportation costs will make Northern Bangladesh pay double the price for Genetically Modified Produce. In one month they will be on their knees and in one years time the common man impoverished. Views:This is the second time such torture and mutiliations have taken place. The first was with Saurav Kalia and his boys and now our 16 soilders of the BSF. These death were never avenged. For such acts people around the world have been hauled at the Hauge at the war crimes tribunal. We the people would like to know if our soilders lives so cheap that it does not matter. We have always supported this government, but I want to know why no strong action was taken . Even if our planes had buzzed Dhaka we could have scared the ball out of those scum bags. All this behavoiur could only point in one direction. Bone marrow corruption. The whole system is so corrupted that good and sincere officers get left behind and the useless go forward. What were the officers of the BSF doing and why did they not have prior information. THIS IS VERY SAD, AND WE ARE VERY ANGRY.
