They were all killed, nay, tortured to death by the Bangladeshis. yes, yes, its the Banglas now who are baying for our blood. And what do u ppl do about it. nothing. Just some standard lip-service and the traditional pussyfooting. Good, very good indeed. Maybe its very good foreign policy 'coz the Banglas are our allies, after all, are'nt they? But respectable(?) sirs, how do u propose this be told to the family members of those who were killed and mutilated? Will they be given the usual compensation and stuff? Will u also throw in a Govt job? yeah, maybe that will shut them up. yes sirs,it might just work. But what about ppl like me? I,and the other countrymen feel ashamed when we see that there is no response(either diplomatic or military) to our soldiers being killed by Banglas. This is just not done and is in fact pathetic. you are being shameless and even disrespectful to the dead soldiers by your cavalier

And we might be a poor country, and might not match india militarily but that doesn't mean we can't hurt all those pathetic indians where it hurts the most. all these indians who have wrote pathetic messages shaming Bangladesh can go to hell, just like the muslims are fighting Israel's occupation of Arab land in the middle east, we are doing the same. The village that we took last week setting of this crisis was bangladeshis, and all those disgusting, filthy indians who fled the villages should have stayed so we could have killed them to, You take one military punch against us and you see how many Arab nations will come rallying to our side so I'm telling you india take your best shot because we will retaliate even harder. If you thought 16 indian soldiers dead was bad you ain't seen nothing yet!

I cannot believe that this was an orchestrated campaign by the bangladeshi government. The guilty should be punished..and India should use every diplomatic and economic leverage it has to make this happen..however..nothing is served by raising the rhetoric..especially when the govt. in bangladesh is percieved by locals as being friendly to India. We've got Bangladesh. Go ahead. BOMB THEM! How SHAMELESS can we get. Did anyone for a moment think that one bloody Bangladeshi major was chaavi-firaooed by Pakistan's ISI to do this? Pakistan WANTS India to be encircled by enemies. They are fuelling riots by Maoists in Nepal, funding the opposition in Bangladesh which is supported by ISI-funded fundamentalist anti-India Jamaat-e-Islami, the LTTE in Sri Lanka (ISI plays the game both ways there!)... What else do you need? BOMB Bangladesh, score points, and play into the hands of the ISI. With reactions like these, ISI doesn't need to chaavi-firaoo others, there are a lot of STUPID INDIANS to this!!! By the way: HATS OFF to ISI!

Views:Has anyone been to the B'desh's daily INdependant's site. There is no mention of the deaths of the BSF jawans. In fact there's an article about the distress of those bloody b'desh villagers on having to move out from the land that the BDR had 'claimed back' from Indian occupation. It also said that firing in the border had stopped as the BSF had 'retreated back' after instructions from GoI. It said that the villagers helped the BDR and fought alongside them to claim the 'lost land'. No wonder 16 of our jawans died. If this seems to be the attitude in country its time we taught them a lesson. However what is sad is the fact that the BDR had no respect or fear for Indian forces or any retaliation as it knew there wouldn't be any.We cannot let this happen.

SHAME ON US INDIANS! We used to blame America for the BIG BROTHER attitude, and now we are adopting the same attitude... We Indians are highly emotional fools and can be easily taken for a ride by anyone: For example, the ISI.
When two brothers fight, it is the elder brother who has a greater responsibility to keep things under control. The younger brother may be hot-headed, but if the elder brother loses his anger, then everything is finished. Both lose. And the neighbour (Pakistan) has the last laugh!!!
I apologise to Bangladesh for all the venom that has been spitted out by we IGNORANT INDIAN FOOLS!

Views:It is the murder of sixteen Indian soldiers, in the uncivilized manner by the Bangladeshi people. Our leaders do not comment, as they want to maintain good relations with Bangladesh. No response to the brutal incident. Pakistan occupies Indian Territory and India fights to get back just its territory and loses lot of people in this process. No action taken to pressurize Pakistan from not daring such a thing again. First they said it is without the notice of “Nawaz Sharif” when militants occupied Indian Territory with Pakistan’s military support. Now they say it is to trouble Hasina’s government. It is the responsibility of the respective governments to know what is happening with their military or else they have to pay for that mistake. Pakistan ISI is so much into the Indian territory and gets so much Information from India. But they can’t get the info. of what is happening with their own military. It is their mistake and they have to suffer for that. What message are our leaders sending to the world by keeping quite? When will our leaders learn from China, America and Israel? Even America and China are so much dependent on each other, America is not ready to compromise with an apology and China demanded an apology for their killed soldier, who is dead accidentally. For loosing one soldier Israel replied with bombardment. 15 of our BSF people were killed so cruelly and nothing our leaders are doing for that. We are no way dependent on either Pakistan or Bangladesh. Our leaders fight for having a temple or musjid. One party supports that and other party opposes that. But for them the lives of the people who are securing them and the country are not important. Even the opposition is not talking anything. Our country must take proper steps so that such things will not happen in future.

Views: Every week I catch up on news from India, always making appropriate allowances for the pathetic state of affairs that is reflecte therein. But this week, I was absolutely ouraged, but much more important, totally ashamed after reading about the BD affair with the brave soldiers who were mutilated. Instead of a national attempt to eliminate this scourge, what one sees is an unbelievable response of trying to maintain "bilteral relations" with a laughing poor excuse of a country. The world is watching us, and sadly have come to the conclusion many moons ago, that we are a spineless bunch of corrupt individuals who will sit on comfortable bottoms even when their honor is seriously brought into question. How else to interpret this non-response by so-called nationalists who were so brave when demolishing an unattended BabaMasjid, but time and agin, Kargil, Paki/Kashimr humiliations, have sat back and tried to take a diplomatic approach? Too much time is spent in always comparing ourselves to someone else, usually the West ( a sure sign of inferiority if ever there was one). Why not take some unambiguous action that reflects that there are still some "men" left in India? True, international relations must always be considered - but this gives much too credit for entities comprising the "international body" as they themselves too often act in their pure self interest. I am truly ashamed to be considered of Indian heritage after these series of spectacular humiliations inflicted on us. When will we ever stand up for principles? Of course, with corruption rampant in the land, leaders really should not be judged too harshly for putting themselves and their families above national interests. It is perhaps not too late still to conduct a massive retaliatory response to avenge the BSR jawans. There is no such animal as a "measured" response when dealing with barbar

Shame on us for treating such a grossly violent act of Bangladesh with just remarks and almost no retaliation.I wonder when they will stop those never-ending investigations which are designed to erase such memories from people's mind owing to their long time-frames. We are sending very dangerous and wrong signals to the world of our resolution and political will-power to deal with such atrocities. At this rate Nepal's going to try its luck next and I won't be surprised if it gets away scotfree. If the BDR has acted without the consent of the Bangladeshi Govt.,does that mean they can kill and get away with that excuse ?If so,I strongly urge the BSF to take much hard-hitting action and blame it on some trigger-happy 'locals' or some commander. In any case , its shocking to hear that the BSF personnel were tortured before being killed. Its not enough just to express serious concern,Vajpayee. If we have any self-esteem left,we should respond with 1:10 severity in action.I hope Vajpayee sees all these feelings and wake up : for India's sake.

Bangladesh should be taught a lesson that it will never forget. Next time it does try something as fancy as intruding onto Indian territory, it should be made sure that not a single one its men should leave Indian soil alive. Bangladesh is morally responsible for the lives of those killed and should pay adequate compensation to their families though loss of life is irreplaceable. Last time it was done by Pakis & Afghan barbarians during the Kargil crisis. I used to think bangladeshis to be more genial & civilized than blood thirsty Pathans & Pakis. I dont think Islam teaches this mode of behaviour. Though we have to maintain friendly relations with our neighbours, some kind of response is required from the Indian side lest it is mistaken for spinelessness. I wont be surprised if ISI is behind these events also. They have successfully turned all our neibhours against us. Their tentacles are spread from Kerala & Tamilnadu in the south to Kashmir in the NW & Assam in the NE. Nepal has been turned into a virtual ISI playground with even Paki Embassy personnel indulging in terrorist activities. Bangladesh government has gone postal and decided to attack India and we were taken by surprise. 2. There was some kind of pact between the Hasina government and her counterparts in India. She is loosing her popularity in Bangladesh because of her Indian "stooge" image. So this might some kind of save the face stunt. In either case one thing you notice is that India is standing to loose. I've been a big fan of the BJP government. But this incident makes us drop our head in shame. What kind of intelligence do we have if we cannot anticipate a threat from such a small country? Even after they attack it took us 3 days to respond. Is this how our well army which calls itself a well oiled machinery work? Or are they so much tied down in red tape that they had to wait for 3 days to take action? On the other hand if this is some kind of under-the-table work between India and Bangladesh who is to account for the lifes of the 16 jawans who died? How can be let our citizens be tortured to death by a begger nation because someone had to gain some popularity there. This is really pathetic. Now I'm going to think twice before I vote for BJP again.

During my many years abroad I have come across numerous Bangladeshis in US, but I have to metion that I found, most unfortunately, almost 80% of them suffering from tremendous inferiority complex and they are very resentful of me for being an Indian. This is a very disturbing trend; people make up a nation, so I wouldn't be wrong in assuming that the whole nation of Bangladesh as such is resentful of India in general, which made them do what they did to us recently. Where would thay have been without our help during their '71 War of Liberation ? There's a saying in Bangla, "Shotrur shesh raakhtey nei", which when loosely translated means: 'Leave no trace of your enemy'. So the Govt. of India should do the same.

Views:To all the bigots on this board. Why cant you see this 'intrusion' as just a sad mistake and let it be. Why are all of you so friggin war hungry. Im sure its easy to call for arms sitting pretty in your cozy chairs with no inkling whatsoever of the consequences. I wish you would feel the same outrage at : 1] Child Labour 2] Dowry Deaths 3] Malnutrition Deaths 4] Death in Custody 5] Death due to displacement I could go on .... but of course we need to feed that insatiable urge to kill because we are male (almost all the people who posted) .. fuck it ... why waste time on this nonsense !!

Views:Blood boils over the inhumane treatment meeted out to our 16 BSF soldiers. Why have weapons if you cant retaliate. Why build LCA's and nukes when you cant intimidate pidly little B'desh. I agree with all those who favor retaliation to avenge the lives of our 16 brave soldiers. Like some suggested, the Govt is a bunch of eunuchs. Choodi pehan ke rakhe, jho badla na kar paaye. Somebody raising the contrast between Israeli retaliations to our situation is totally justified. All that the Govt did was protest. I am ashamed of be Indian. I thought the Govt did us all proud with the nuke testing and all, but no this Govt doesnt have guts. It cant avenge the deaths of its soldiers. Next what, Nepal and Bhutan will occupy us. And would we still support development programmes for B'Desh. Flood relief assistance and all that. Lets put sanctions until they give us the BDR responsible for this incident and prosecute them in International War crimes tribunal. We are justified to seek that. If they dont, heck, bomb all those BDR positions along the border until submission. I guess, we all know , whats going to happen inspite of all our outbursts. The Govt will sleep over this and yet another sign of weakness.

Views:I think that the Govt of India should be congratulated for the way it has handled this unfortunate episode. Of course the death of 16 people is very sad. But as anyone who is half knowledgeable about the situation in BD, esp the scism between the mainstream and the Islamists would know, the killings were the work of the latter element. So while retribution is in order a foolish shotgun approach will only hurt people we should support. India must respect the Govt and people of BD - and accept that they will attempt to punish those responsible - and not run down a country that despite decades of depradation by the Pakistanis, has done a great job in improving it's people's lot in the last several years.

Views:What the hell ! GO OUT AND TEACH THESE BANGLADESHIS A LESSON. WE SHOULD REACT TO SITUATIONS LIKE THESE THE WAY U.S. BOMBED AFGHANISTAN WHEN A NUMBER OF US CITIZENS WERE KILLED IN BOMB BLASTS IN EAST AFRICA. WE SHOULD STOP THINKING AND SEND OUR AIR FORCE JETS TO DESTROY ALL THE F.... BDR MEN. ANYWAYS BANGLADESHIS ARE KNOWN COWARDS....!

Views:It is disgusting to see the reaction of the indian govt on this issue.16 of our soldiers are tortured and butchered in cold blood and we simply protest against the bangla govt. What is this?We are really a very soft state. We are ruled by eunuchs. The bangladeshi's who killed our soldiers are not human. How can anybody have such disrespect to fellow human beings. How can somebody pull out eyes when the victim is still alive and shoot them at point blank range. The bangla bastards have to be killed.Thats all. There should be no inqiry. They have to be identified and tortured the way they have tortured our soldiers. We should take revenge. It is no use protesting against those bastards. All the bangladeshis have to be driven out of our country. Our policy towards our neighbours should be completely changed. We should assert ourself more aggressively.Nobody can take India for granted. The BJP govt should take responsibility for this incident and attack bangladesh. There should be a swift air strike all along the bangla border and the BDR should be wiped out.

All because of Indian are not aggressive that's why we couldn't produce a single person who can win gold in any world tounament. I think meat product shoud be cheaply avialable so very indian should afford to eat non-veg easily. We need to walk the path of Bhagat Singh, Subash chander Boss, Udham Singh etc,if somebody mess with you make sure not happen second time.

Views:I think our government has misinterpreted Ahimsa as inaction. This incident clearly differentiates how the US and India deal with things when its men are in danger. It is shame on the Indian government to sit and watch as our men are being killed. The message that is being passed along time and again to the world is "we have 1 billion people, we have the second largest standing army in the world, losing just some of them does not do any damage, we have more pressing issues to take care of now". The best kind of defense is deterrence. These kind of incidents expose us to be weak and bureaucratic in dealing with hostility. Anyone would dare to take on India. After all, they will issue some statements and then accept things as 'whatever has happened has happened'. When are we going to learn from our mistakes? I am sorry for those brave men who put their lives on the line inspite of knowing that their government doesn't care about losing a few.
