Views:Yes, our government has been wimpish. They have once again proved that life of an Indian is very cheap whether its inside India or at the Borders. Indian govermnment, instead of lodging complaint to Bangladesh Government should have immediately retaliated to teach lesson to Bangladeshis. This incident is a shame on part of India and its so called powerful defence. If this is the situation on Indo-Bangla border, what will be the situation on Indo-Pak border.

Views:Even though the prime minister is said taking to be taking serious view, I do not expect much from a neuter prime minster like Vajpayee. By now if the same thing would happenend to US / Israel they would have taken out Dhaka. I think we should retaliate with stongest force and dismantle BDR and make Dhaka rub its nose on the ground. And after all this Indian politicians are trying to get Bangladeshi's Indian citizenship for votes. These people should be identified and deported. Even BJP after coming to power has forgotten its promises.

Views:I'm don't accept the statement by our MEA saying that Bangladesh is not too blame. 16 Indian Soldiers were butchered to death on Indian Soil and the govt statement only says "we don't care for your precious lives" from their statement. After Telheka, and now this, I'm really concerned if our Jawans are equipped with right equipment, etc to fight a border skirmish. In any case, with total ruthless ness track the BDR unit which killed our jawans and take them out. Views:BDR returning 15 bodies of our soldiers and India still caring for their relations with the great Hasina, who is casually sitting in B'desh doing nothing. Only our PM is taking note of the situation. Views:Sir, The killings of 16 BSF personnel, by the BDR is a matter to be condemned in strongest terms. India should demand an apology from the Bangladesh Govt, else warn it to face the consequences. A tiny nation, however friendly cannot be allowed to get away by just saying that it was the work of the villagers. This could well be the begening of larger plans. Bangladesh must be taught a lesson so that not only scores are settled but also, no one ever dares to test our patience or indulge in misadventurism. India is surrounded by many small friendly nations. If such activities are allowed to go on without an appropriate action, various terrorist groups operating in these countries may take it as our weakness and icrease their suvbertive activities. India must take a prompt, decisive and stern action to teach a lesson to Bangladesh.

Views:Well, first when i read the news, i couldn't believe, Such a puny country like Bangladesh attacked, tortured and killed my fellow 16 indian soldiers. At the end of it, ALL I HEAR is that now they bodies have be returned and that there was some mistake on the BDF part. C'MON wake up, PM , HM and Defence Ministers, u cant just let any one kill our fellow indian soldiers. LOOK AT CHINA, look at their BOLD approach in the collision matter. WE PRACTISE restraint not cowardness, if i had been the PM i wud have attacked half of Bangladesh and then said "OH, sorry it was a MISTAKE ". Views:today's Times Of India carried a shocking picture on the front page - a slain BSF jawan strung on a pole and being carried like an animal. On top of that, the soldiers have been mutilated and possibly tortured before being killed. Its infuriating that we sit and twiddle our thumbs. While I am willing to forgive Vajpayee for Tehelka and other issues, this is something that we cant take lying down. Bangladesh is not a friendly country and let's not fool ourselves into thinking that. Hasina should come to Delhi and apologise to the Indian people. Otherwise, embargo them, shut down their borders, stop trade with them, and severe all diplomatic relations with Bangladesh. For too long we have taken a soft approach to these ungrateful people. Perhaps, Indira Gandhi's biggest mistake was to help Bangaldesh achieve its freedom. If the Pakistanis had their way, they would have wiped out the country - something these jokers keep forgetting
