Views:A friend country will not intrude. It is a cowardly act on part of Bangla and should be treated with a cane. So,drive out all the intruders and BSF should be put on high alert all the time.We should teach them a lesson so that it should not be repeated in future. One can not rule out the possibility of attention diversion technique by ISI so that they can push as many terrorists into Kashmir.

Views:NO!NOT AT ALL happy with India's reaction. We should follow the strategy of Israel in all such situations. We are now a laughing stock before the international community. They all mock at us behind our back but praise our patience in the front. The neighbouring countries have taken for granted that we are a soft target and can be easily bullied by even a tiny bit of a country. The tragedy is Thereis no value for human life in India. Israel avenges ruthlessly even for the loss of one single soul of it. -Malarmannan

Views:Dear Editor, It is outrageous to hear the incidence. It should be dealt with stern action. Illegal Bagladeshi emigrants have been spreading throughout India especially the North- Eastern region. Even for this, no concrete step has not been taken so far. It is right time to take action! Sincerely, Gunadhor Okram

Views:India should react firmly to this misadventure and more importantly the country should respect the sacrifices of our soldiers who have laid down their lives. The reaction shold be strong and exemplary so that nobody else will think of ever resorting to such tactics. India should take the Chinese example of upholding the national prestige and the life of the armed forces personnel above everything else. It is a matter of surprise that a country like Bangladesh which cannot fight a war for an hour has challenged the Indian might. The history of complacent reactions to such situations by the Indians, and Indias habit of running to the UN have been taken as a shield. India should give them a sound rapping and resort to diplomatic dealings only after they have been softened. Their also seems to be an US and Pakistani ploy to depict a power imbalance in the Region thus vindicating the US demands need for a Naval base in Bangladesh. All that can take a backseat for now. It is time for the BJP govt to again wear their Kargil fatigues and give them a taste of India's military might and a befitting tribute to all those jawans who lost their lives thanx to the political ambitions of an inept leader.

Views:Worse still ! India once again softens its stand. Are we cowards or too soft to stop such intrusions into our territory and that too for a country whom we have liberated at the cost of hundreds of soldiers of our side. The bitter battle fought for bangladesh now seems fruitless. Our government should now intensify to harden its stand and crack down on such events immediately. A controlled air strike would have eventually got us out of this situation in no time with minimum casualty on our side. We should stop worrying about the world and show our stern behaviour atleast when people get into our territory and clear our side. I hope all our Indian brothers & sisters would join this protest and send a strong signal to the government. Jai Hind. Anil Sedha

Indian army strength should be shown to such intruders but at the same time we have to act diplomatically, We must try and islote Bangladesh internationally, similar to Kargil strategy but be more responsive than what we were then. They must be buried or thrown back. Let Indian Army deal with the intruders and it will be a matter of hours when they will bury the intruders.

Views:Its ridiculous. Our soldiers are being killed while we remain mute spectators. We seemed to have bent backwards in appeasing our neighbours and telling the world we are a responsible nation. I believe it will not take more than 30 minutes for our soldiers to capure Dhaka. Yet, we have just "regretted" this unprovoked action. The Indian leadership, led by Vajpayee seems toothless now. They should better get the record straight once and for all so that Bangladesh dare not look at us again..EVER! Further, its just the right time to throw out the bangladeshis from our country. Views:Indian forces were stationed on a patch of territory that belonged to Bangladesh. You willnotice in all the news reports, the government has not said the territory belongs to India, calling it disputed. Instead of vacating it, we built a road on it and provoked this skirmish in which we lost 16 men. Another 2 captured. Why can't we just stop bullying our neighbours over petty issues and avoid all this trouble. If relations with Bangladesh worsen, it will further erode our offensive capability on the Pakistani and Chinese borders. Our troops will will have to diverted from those fronts, something which we have already done to cope with militancy on Kashmir. It will also divert funds from other military budgets, possibly from weapons procurement programs.

Views:Whatever is happening is very shocking. Why is our border force always caught napping?why do we not not have any information on such issues in advance? India has really shown the world that we have become Soft State by not taking any action so far therby inviting other neighbours like Nepal and Bhutan to intrude our land.

Views: Sir, Forget about happiness. I want to know one thing from our Government that if our neighouring countries can attack us and kill our jawans and civilians without any reason, can't our Govt. bounce back with the same degree of action. The jawans are to protect the nation. But, because of the Govt's failure, they are to sacrifice their life for no reason. Because of the loss of our jawans's life, the Govt. is not going to loss anything. The loss is for their family. Already, at the mercy of our Govt. since independence, Indian land is occupied by our neighouring countries. We could not recapture, as we we want to show the world that we are peace loving. Our politicians are capable for fighting for getting into power. Now they can do onething at least that to distribute the remaining part of India to the neighbouring countries and then take a rudrash har in hand and chant peace to show the world of our peace loving.

If China can create such a hue and cry for loss of single pilot then why can not India even reply strongly to a small country like Bangladesh. Every Indian feel ashamed of what happened at the Border the village should be taken at earliest whatever be the cost.

Views:How could a country which gained independence with the active help of India turn against the helping hand?I cannot understand the motivation of Bangladesh to do such a brutal act of aggression.I hope India properly responds to this as the other party considered a friend(?)can take a friendly countrie's 16 human lives.I hope they apologize and compensate with Cash or kind and leave Indian territory immediately. The Indian govt. should also review the friendly status with Bangladesh.
