Condolence Message:Hereby I pay tribute to Mr. Dewang Mehta, the President of NASSCOM, who had been a vital in the growth of IT industry during the last decade, by means of acting as the bridge between our Indian Govt. and the IT Industry, as a whole, and letting the Indian IT take a lead role in various aspects, irrespective of the frequent fall-outs of the Indian govt., especially during the last five years. It's indeed a great loss for the Indian Industry for having lost such a person with full of momentum and visions that put India on the track of achieving 'IT Super Power'-tag; had it been a weekday without other National Holidays, our Indian IT Sector must have declared National-IT- Holiday. Yes, to that extend he has put his brain and soul for the growth of the Indian IT Industry. If at all India could proudly say that it will achieve the software exports of worth US $ 50 billion, by 2008, it's only because of Dewang Mehta, without any doubt. But, we're not lucky enough to have him on achieving the projected growth! We just can't ignore the achievement of Dewang Mehta, on convincing the Indian Politicians, about the importance of IT sector, in the growth of Indian Economy! ...all I could say is if at all either Wipro or Infosys is doing well, they have been allowed to do so by the policies approved by Indian Govt., behind which there had always been Dewang Mehta's initiatives! ...he himself, as an Individual, had proved that he was an asset for India, and now we have lost him in an untimely death.
