Samata minister files suit against Tehelka

Union Minister of State for Civil Supplies Srinivas Prasad on Sunday announced that legal notices had been served on four senior officials of Tehelka.com who had allegedly dragged his name in the defence deals expose.

Addressing a press conference in Udupi, he said he had filed a suit of Rs 50 million against Tehelka.com in the Bangalore civil court on Saturday.

Clarifying his stand, the minister said he was not in Delhi from December 23 to February 18 and was engaged in official programmes in Mysore and Bangalore, including the Samata Party convention, before he fell sick.
