Vajpayee looking forward to going home

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee is in high spirits and looking forward to go home tomorrow, sources at the Breach Candy hospital, where he is recuperating after his left knee joint replacement surgery, said.

"Vajpayee cannot be called a patient in a real sense as he takes several rounds in the corridor of the hospital with the help of a walker besides going through official files," the sources said in Bombay Saturday.

The prime minister has progressed well after his operation on October 10 and can flex his knee although 'he has to take life easy for some more time' the hospital's chief public relation officer Cyrus Engineer told PTI.

"The wound is healing satisfactorily," Engineer said.

Dr F E Udwadia and Dr Nandu Laud, the attending surgeons for the prime minister had Friday said Vajpayee would be discharged on Sunday.
