Five survivors of chopper crash identified

Five survivors of the Indian Air Force Mi-8 helicopter crash have been identified.

The chopper on a routine recce had crashed Sunday evening near the international border in the Rann of Kutch

The five survivors are: Flying Officer Manish Kumar, Junior Warrant Officer S K Mohanty, Deputy Commandant of Border Security Force's 71st Battalion, Swaran Singh, Subedar Unni and Subedar Prem Singh, an IAF spokesman said.

The survivors have been admitted to hospitals in Koteshwar and Bhuj. Their families and the next of kin of the deceased were being officially informed, the spokesman added.
