Pilot Sohanpal's body taken to Indore

Captain Manjit Singh Sohanpal, 35, pilot of the ill-fated Flight CD-7412 which crashed in Patna on Monday morning killing 55 people, will be cremated in Indore on Tuesday.

Sohanpal's body was brought to Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport on Tuesday at 0500 IST, from where it was taken to Bombay en route to Indore.

Sohanpal's family lives in Indore. His father Eshwar Singh and brother Captain Ravi, also a pilot, reached Delhi on Monday and accompanied the body back.

Sohanpal's wife Nidhi had rushed to Patna as soon as she received news of the crash on Monday and accompanied the body back to the capital. The Sohanpals have two sons -- Karan, 4, and Yash, nine months old. The pilot's mother also lives in Indore.
