Hurriyat to send high level
delegation to Pakistan

Mukhtar Ahmad in Srinagar

The Hurriyat Conference on Thursday announced that it would be sending a high level delegation to Pakistan on January 15 to hold talks with militant leaders based there for a solution to the problem in Jammu and Kashmir.

After a meeting of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference at the residence of former chairman Mirwaiz Omar Farooq in Srinagar, the APHC described the extension of the ceasefire by Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the partial withdrawal of troops from the Line of Control by Pakistan as commendable steps.
