Plan to kill Rakesh Roshan unearthed

The Bombay police Wednesday arrested Nazim Hassan Rizvi, producer of the forthcoming Hindi film Chori Chori Chupke Chupke for allegedly entering into a criminal conspiracy with underworld don Chhota Shakeel to eliminate certain key Bollywood personalities, including film producer Rakesh Roshan.

Rizvi, who also facing allegations that his latest production starring Salman Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Preity Zinta was financed by the underworld, was arrested from his office in suburban Andheri by the Crime Branch.

Senior police officials said they had information that the Chhota Shakeel gang was planning to eliminate Rakesh Roshan.

Roshan survived an assassination bid in January this year.
