Onkar Singh in New Delhi

The problem in Jammu and Kashmir has had an unusual fall-out for Hurriyat Conference leader Abdul Ghani Lone.

His only son Sajjad is getting engaged to the daughter of Amanullah Khan, leader of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, in Rawalpindi sometime this week.

A G Lone has been denied permission to travel to Pakistan to attend the wedding. His passport continues to be impounded by the Government of India. However, his wife has already reached the Pakistan city, according to sources in the Intelligence Bureau.

After living in Saudi Arabia and Dubai, Sajjad moved to Pakistan. During his stay there, he came into contact with Amanullah Khan's only daughter. The couple decided to get married with the JKLF leader's blessings. A G Lone was brought into the picture only later, the sources claimed.
