'Why was Shah Rukh left out?'
Date:
Wed, 19 Jul 2000, 21:56:55EST +0530 Kirti Reddy's grandfather's name is Ganga Reddy and not Ranga Reddy. He is the Telugu Desam MP from Nizamabad in Andhra Pradesh. Uma Sudhir
Date:
Wed, 19 Jul 2000, 18:32:08EST -0500 In her interview, Lata Khubchandani asks Kirti Reddy: 'Your Hindi is poor. What are you doing to rectify that ?' That was an arrogant question. I would like to ask Lata when is she going to learn Telugu or Tamil? I am quite sure she speaks these poorly if at all! R Shrikanth
Date:
Thu, 20 Jul 2000, 10:39:35EST +0530 Good luck to Kirti. She was our senior in The Valley School in Bangalore and I remember, she was a good Bharatnatyam dancer. Keep up the good work, Kirti. Arjun and Bhavna Hosakere
Date:
Thu, 20 Jul 2000, 11:41:28EST +0530 Kirti Reddy sounds like an immature person. It remains to be seen whether or not she proves herself in Bollywood. Nivedita
Date:
Thu, 20 Jul 2000, 18:33:39EST +0530 That was a bad interview. Tanushri
Date:
Fri, 21 Jul 2000, 22:23:05EST +0500 I agree with you. U K Achhra

Sat, 22 Jul 2000, 14:00:25EST -0700 This is the dubbed version of a Telugu film Bavagaru Bagunnaraa starring Chiranjeevi. So it is not a new story. Rediff reader

Wed, 26 Jul 2000, 16:58:07EST -0400 Thank you for a frank review. I will compare your thoughts with mine after I watch the film. By the way, how can I find out who has the distribution rights in USA for this or any other movie? Sharad Rajguru
Date:
Mon, 24 Jul 2000, 09:26:04EST -0500 The movie was terrible. I could not sit through it for more than 25 minutes. Imron Hussaini
Date:
Wed, 18 Aug 2000, 16:18:08EST +0530 It is an excellent movie. Raj Kamal

The film has all ingredients to be a super hit. But for god's sake, don't compare Shah Rukh Khan with Hrithik Roshan because Hrithik still has a long way to go. I believe that Shah Rukh Khan has lot to of talent as compared to all these newcomers. Asra and Shahbaz
Date:
Wed, 26 Jul 2000, 09:00:36EST +0530 I think the review is pathetic. The movie was possibly the worst I have seen in my life and the reviewer has not been harsh enough. Avinash Vijaysankar

Mon, 31 Jul 2000, 13:04:03EST -0500 An excellent slideshow but for one minor glitch. Betaab, if I remember right, was released in 1983 not 1985. Prasad Sampath
Date:
Wed, 26 Jul 2000, 20:43:42EST I thought the slide show was excellent though there was a star missing -- Shah Rukh Khan.
Date:
Wed, 26 Jul 2000, 19:40:32EST It was a good article and a great slideshow. But I think she missed a few very important debuts. For instance: Zeenat Aman in Hare Rama Hare Krishna (1970); Padmini Kolhapure in Insaaf Kaa Tarazu (1978); Salma Aghaa in Nikaah (1979); Anil Kapoor in Shakti (1982); Sreedevi in Himmatwala (1983); Shah Rukh Khan in Deewana (1990). Ashish Trivedi
Date:
Wed, 26 Jul 2000, 18:55:20EST -0500 Wow! That was an amazing effort. Keep up the good work! Susan
Date:
Thu, 27 Jul 2000, 02:32:41EST +0400 That was a great job! But why was Shah Rukh Khan left out? I know the media is against the guy they once created but hey, give the guy a break. Even if Hrithik has come into the scene there is always place for someone who has entertained the nation for the last five to seven years. Akbar Shah
Date:
Wed, 26 Jul 2000, 18:17:12EST -0400 The article missed out Shah Rukh Khan. Arpan Shah
Date:
Wed, 26 Jul 2000, 16:59:06EST -0500 Both, the concept and the content of this article and its corresponding slide show were brilliant. The pictures were well chosen and the writings next to them are well scripted. Although I am bit disappointed at the lack of coverage of the debuts of yesteryear, you seem to have covered the past few years in complete detail. Kudos! Kathuria Rajnesh
Date:
Wed, 26 Jul 2000, 16:03:12EST That was a nice slide show though you could have used more pictures of Hrithik Roshan. Thank you for leaving Shah Rukh Khan out.
Date:
Fri, 28 Jul 2000, 14:42:39EST -0400 The slideshow was good though the language could have been better. Archana Pillay
Date:
Thu, 27 Jul 2000, 13:34:05EST +0300 This was a great slideshow, enjoyable and nostalgic. I wonder why Jayaprada's debut with Sargam was not included. Or was it not her debut movie? Manoj Jauhari
Date:
Thu, 27 Jul 2000, 15:32:38EST +1000 That was good but you have made a big blunder by not including Shah Rukh Khan's debut. He is the most popular star in India at the moment and he has been ignored by you while you talk of Chandrachur Singh who is nowhere on the scene at the moment. Subathra Puvanachandran
Date:
Thu, 27 Jul 2000, 14:57:51EST That was a nice slide show. But how could you forget Rani Mukherjee's famous debut in Ghulaam? The Khandala girl is the next best thing to happen to Indian films. I know it wasn't her first film but you included Preity Zinta in Dil Se although her first film was Soldier. Please include Rani in the slide show -- she belongs to the group of dream debuts. Javid Shaikh
