Hurriet leader prevented from leaving India
A senior leader of the All-Parties Hurriet (Freedom) Conference, Moulvi Abbas Ansari, was stopped at Delhi airport last night from boarding a flight to Burkina Faso where he was scheduled to attend the Islamic conference of foreign ministers.
An APHC spokesman said this evening that Ansari was about to board the Air France flight leaving Delhi at 0045 IST for Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso to attend the 26th session of the Islamic conference of foreign ministers which began yesterday and will continue up to July 2.
Ansari, after check-in, was stopped by the immigration authorities. No reason being given, the spokesman said.
