IASF will establish the selection criteria and will make the selections. These will be approved by the Board of Directors of IACA prior to implementation. These decisions are final and cannot be appealed.

The awards, ranging from $ 500 to $ 1,250, will be presented on a one-time basis. These awards are based on the applicant's financial need.

For Georgia Students:

Students of Indian Heritage (one or both parents or grandparents from present day India; for purposes of these scholarships, citizens of Pakistan and Bangladesh are not included) are eligible to apply.

The Kuldip Bhatia Award is a four-year renewable award, carrying an amount of $ 1,250 per year for four years (total $ 5,000) These awards are based on the applicant's financial need.

The Jagmohandas Bapalal Shah Award is presented to the student with the highest SAT score from among the applicants. Student selected for this award may be recognized as an Outstanding Senior by the judges. All students applying for this award are required to submit a complete resume, signed by the school principal or the counselor or a designee.

The Paras Shah Memorial Award is presented to the student with the best extracurricular (athletics, service, fine arts, leadership, and any other unique endeavors) and scholastic record combined. This student may be recognized as an Outstanding Senior by the judges. All students applying for this award are required to submit a complete resume, signed by the school principal or the counselor or a designee.

Non-IACA members who are awarded scholarships are required to become members.

American Society of Engineers of Indian Origin

The ASEI awards the Scholarships at its National Convention in September. The completed application forms with required attachments/documentation must be received by the ASEI Awards Committee by August 15.

ASEI MERIT SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is awarded by ASEI every year to a student attending undergraduate studies in any field of engineering, architect, computer or allied science in an accredited college or university anywhere in the USA. The scholarship amount is $1,000.

Selection Criteria:

a. The student should be an Indian by birth, ancestry, or relation.

b. The student should be enrolled as a full-time student in engineering, architecture, computers or allied science at an accredited college or university.

ASEI SUPPORT SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is sponsored anonymously by a generous entrepreneur who supports the Indian community and ASEI. The scholarship amount is $ 500.

Selection Criteria:

a. and b. Same as in #1 above.

c. The student should be a resident of and enrolled in a college or university in the Virginia, Maryland, or Washington DC area.

d. The student should submit a one page write-up on his ambitions in high-tech.

ANSTEC SCHOLARSHIP FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES

This scholarship is sponsored by ANSTEC, Inc, an information high tech company, based in McLean, Virginia. ANSTEC is not only a successful high tech company, it also supports the Indian community, and has soft corner for students, therefore has offered this scholarship. The scholarship amount is $ 1,000.

Selection Criteria:

The student should be enrolled in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication, Computer Science, or a related field. The selected candidate should be from the greater Washington metropolitan area.

ASC GEOSCIENCES SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is sponsored by ASC Geosciences, Inc, a Saxena Group Company, located in Lakeland, Florida. The scholarship amount is $ 1,000.

Selection Criteria:

c. Applicant must be studying in either Geotechnical or Geoenvironmental Engineering.

ADC SCHOLARSHIP

KAMALESH & RITA DWIVEDI SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is sponsored by Kamalesh Dwivedi and Rita Dwivedi. The scholarship amount is $ 1,000. Currently Dwivedi is VP and CIO of ADC Telecommunications, Inc and has 18 years of experience in Wireless, PCS and Network Management. Kamalesh Dwivedi and Rita Dwivedi are strong supporters of ASEI.

For high school seniors entering college, the Share And Care Foundation offers several scholarships. Each scholarship is valued at $ 1,000 and the numbers granted varies each year.

Deadline: Applications must be postmarked no later than July 31.

Requirements:
1. Annual family gross income of less than 50K.
2. Must be of Asian-Indian origin.
3. Must be current high school senior.
4. Must have been accepted into an accredited four-year college.
5. Awards are based on financial need, academic potential, personal integrity, enthusiasm for learning and evidence of desire for better humanity.

AAHOA Scholarships

About seven years ago, J P Rama, newly elected Chairman of the Board of AAHOA, in his keynote address at the recent AAHOA national conference in Orlando, stressed his commitment to the education of youth and promised to strengthen the organization's scholarship fund. The program is meant to help children of the association's members.

Dipan Patel, the first recipient of the Choice Scholarship Award in 1992, has been instrumental in strengthening the Scholarship Fund.

Scholarships are also awarded to AAHOA Institute of Management. The last date for applying for these awards is February 28.
