Main accused in Gulshan Kumar murder held

The Bombay police have arrested one of the main accused in music mogul Gulshan Kumar's murder last year.

The police said that on the basis of a tip-off they trapped Shaifique alias Shafimamu Shaikh near a builder's office in Bandra, north-west Bombay.

Shaifique has been evading arrest for a year. The police allege that he sent the killers to Dubai to meet gangster Abu Salem. Thereafter, the police allege the conspiracy continued at Faiyaz Communication Centre in Bandra where he provided pagers and mobile phones to the would-be killers.
