Rain likely along the east coastHeavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places in the Nicobar Islands, coastal Orissa and north-coastal Andhra Pradesh during next 48 hours. Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Orissa, east Madhya Pradesh, and north-coastal Andhra Pradesh, at a few places in Gangetic West Bengal, the Bihar plateau, Vidarbha, south-coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, and at isolated places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar plains, west Madhya Pradesh, south-central Maharashtra, Marathwada, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka, Kerala, and Lakshadweep. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country. Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of north Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka. They were below normal in Jammu, north Konkan, north-central Maharashtra, the remaining parts of north Tamil Nadu, and some parts of Punjab and Gujarat region. They were markedly above normal in north-east Madhya Pradesh and appreciably above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, Vidarbha, Telangana and some parts of Haryana. They were normal in the rest of the country outside of Arunachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh from where data were sparse. Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in parts of Assam, Meghalaya and Himachal Pradesh, and above normal in east Uttar Pradesh, north Konkan, north-coastal Tamil Nadu, and some parts of coastal and south interior Karnataka. They were appreciably below normal in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, coastal Orissa, Bihar plateau, south-east Madhya Pradesh, north-central Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh. They were normal in the rest of the country outside of Arunachal Pradesh from where data were sparse.
