Rains in coastal OrissaHeavy rains are likely at isolated places in coastal Orissa, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Kerala during the next 48 hours. The North-East Monsoon has been active in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Orissa, at a few places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Tamil Nadu. Very light rain also occurred at isolated places in east Madhya Pradesh. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country. Rain or thundershowers are likely at most places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Kerala, at many places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, coastal Orissa and south Tamil Nadu, at a few places in Rayalaseema, north Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in Telangana, south coastal Karnataka and south interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country. Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in parts of Assam and Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Tamil Nadu, and above normal in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, east Uttar Pradesh and coastal Karnataka, and in parts of east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra, Konkan and Goa. They were appreciably below normal in coastal Andhra Pradesh and in parts of coastal Orissa, and below normal in parts of Haryana and Kutch, and normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh from where data were sparse. Nigh temperatures were appreciably below normal in parts of south Rajasthan and Kutch, and below normal in Vidarbha, north coastal Andhra Pradesh and in parts of Tamil Nadu. They were appreciably above normal in parts of Assam, Meghalaya and south central Maharashtra, and above normal in parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, the Bihar plateau, Haryana, Punjab, north-west Rajasthan and Goa. They were normal over the rest of the country outside Arunachal from where data were sparse.
