Two foreign militants killed in KashmirTwo foreign militants were killed and two security jawans were injured in a fierce clash at a village in the central Kashmir district of Badgam while forces captured three militants and rescued two boys who were being taken to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir overnight. An official spokesman said a security force search party came under heavy fire from militants at Brenwar village in Badgam last evening. The search party then took positions and returned the fire killing two foreign militants. Two jawans were also injured in the shootout. However, some villagers alleged that the forces fired mortar shells towards the area from where the militants attacked with the result that three houses were damaged. The official spokesman refuted the allegation and said the three houses caught fire during the encounter and were completely gutted. Two AK-56 rifles and a pistol were found on the slain militants. He said security forces raided a militant hideout at Pulwama and rescued two boys who were being sent to PoK for arms training. The forces captured two militants including a self-styled platoon commander and seized a large cache of arms and ammunition including three solar rockets, seven anti-personnel mines, three disposable rocket launchers, 50 detonators, a pistol, 32 grenades and 3.5 kg of explosives in overnight operations across the Valley.
