Rains in the AndamansHeavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the next 48 hours. Rain or thundershowers occurred at most places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, at many places in sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, at a few places in Vidarbha and interior Karnataka, and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. Very light rain occurred at isolated places in Orissa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Rayalaseema. Mainly dry weather prevailed over the rest of the country. Rain or thundershowers are likely at most places in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, at many places in Tamil Nadu, at a few places in coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema, and at isolated places in south interior Karnataka and Kerala. Mainly dry weather will prevail over the rest of the country. Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and parts of Assam and Meghalaya. They were above normal in Orissa, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir, north-east Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu. They were below normal in Gujarat and normal in the rest of the country outside Arunchal Pradesh from where data were sparse. Night temperatures were appreciably above normal in Assam and Meghalaya, sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Bihar, Haryana, Kashmir, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and parts of west Madhya Pradesh and Saurashtra. They were above normal in east Uttar Pradesh, north-west Rajasthan, Gujarat region, Konkan, Goa, central Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, coastal and south interior Karnataka, and parts of west Uttar Pradesh. They were normal in the rest of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal and east Rajasthan, from where data were sparse.
