Bollywood heroines called to court for sexy songs

Bombay Chief Metropolitan Magistrate M N Gilani has summoned actresses Karishma Kapoor, Pooja Bhatt, Juhi Chawla, Mamta Kulkarni, Madhuri Dixit, Raveena Tandon and Tabu to court on November 6 for obscenity cases.

The summons were issued following a complaint lodged by Nari Shakti Abhiyan, alleging that Indian culture was being degraded by certain double meaning songs to which the heroines had lent presence - an offence under sections 292 and 293 of the Indian Penal Code.
