Atmaram Patel joins JD

A splinter group of the ruling Rashtriya Janata Party led by former minister Atmaram Patel has merged with the Janata Dal. So did a Congress group led by former assembly speaker Himmatlal Mulani.

Janata Dal secretary-general Bapu Kaldate said the RJP(A) and the Sardar Congress took the decision to defeat communal forces.
