BJP admits to 'inadvertently' including Karunanidhi's name in Jain panel ATR

The Bharatiya Janata Party-led government at the Centre has admitted it had made an error inadvertently by including Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi's name in the Action Taken Report on the Jain Commission report, according to Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam parliamentary group leader and former minister Murasoli Maran.

Releasing copies of Union Home Minister L K Advani's letter to him, Maran told a press conference in Madras that he had written a letter to the former on August 7 last, asking him to correct the "grave injustice" done to his leader on the issue.

Advani, in his reply, had said, "The error was inadvertent and we have requested the secretary generals of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha to make necessary corrections in this regard".

Advani had enclosed a copy of his letter to the secretary generals in this regard.
