Pondy lieutenant governor resigns

Pondicherry Lieutenant Governor Rajendrakumari Bajpai has resigned.

A top Raj Nivas source told UNI that Bajpai had submitted her resignation letter to the President in New Delhi.

Bajpai, who is away in New Delhi for the last one week, is expected back in Pondicherry tomorrow.

She had assumed office as the lieutenant governor of the Union territory on May 2, 1995.
