Madani's bail plea rejected

The bail plea of People's Democratic Party chairman Abdul Nasser Madani, who was arrested for his alleged links with the suspects of the Coimbatore serial bomb blasts, was rejected by Chief Judicial Magistrate K K Utharan on Friday.

Madani, who was arrested from his Kochi home on the night of March 31 and brought to Kozhikode the next day, is under judicial remand till April 15 at the Kannur central prison. The police had also raided his houses in Kochi and Karunagappally after his arrest.
