Judge K Chandrasan, who acquitted nine persons, including Salilraj and Gunasekheran, alleged suppliers of the illicit brew for want of evidence, reserved orders on the sentence for July 11.
Liquor contractor Manichan and his brother Kochaniyan, who figured prominently in the case, were convicted on charges under the Indian Penal Code and the Akbari Act.
Others, including the first accused Hairunnisa, were found guilty under the Abkari Act alone.
The victims had consumed illicit liquor from a hooch den run by Hairrunisa.
The case was investigated by a special investigation team headed by DIG Sibi Mathew.
