'Karan offered to cancel his shooting and return to Mumbai, but Shah Rukh and Gauri strictly forbade him from doing anything of the sort.'
Even as all hell has broken loose in his bestfriends Gauri and Khan's lives, Karan Johar is far away in Jhansi shooting his turbulent love story Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
"It is a long shooting spell with Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Dharmendra, Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, and Karan can't wriggle out for even a day," a source close to Karan Johar reveal to Subhash K Jha.
"He wants to be in Mumbai as close to Shah Rukh and Gauri as he can be. However they've told him to continue with his shooting," the source added.
"Karan offered to cancel his shooting and return to Mumbai, but Shah Rukh and Gauri strictly forbade him from doing anything of the sort,"
Apparently, Shah Rukh has requested all those close to him to carry on with their work and lives.
