The Top Performances by Malayalam Actors in 2013

There were not many performances by actors that stood out in 2013.

Here are the best five actors who made the most impact on the big screen.

Fahadh Faasil

Fahadh Faasil gave some outstanding performances in 2013.

 He acted in 12 films. Whether the films were good or not, he showed his talent as an actor.

He was best in Amen, Annayum Rasoolum, 5 Sundarikal, North 24 Kaatham, Natholi Oru Cheriya Meenalla and Artist.

He was the best thing in Olipporu and the saving grace of films such as Immanuel, Red Wine, Akam, D Company and Oru Indian Pranayakatha.

The superstar had a terrible year with four really bad films, Ladies & Gentleman, Lokpal, Red Wine and Geethanjali

Drishyam changed all that.

The film has been a whopping success at the box office.

Many viewers believe that in Drishyam, the actor regained the terrific style he showed in his heyday.

He was regarded as a very good actor until a few years ago, when he seemed to be eclipsed by the appearance of some good young actors.

The first six films he acted in last year didn’t do him any good. But towards the end of the year Jayasurya had two big hits.

In Philips & the Monkey Pen he played a mature father to an adorable young kid. In Punyalan Agarbathis hehad the viewers in splits. 

He has been the target of hate campaigns recently, but Prithviraj bounced back with a vengeance.

His eagerness to experiment gave him three movies that were much appreciated: Celluloid, Memories and Mumbai Police.

He earned some admirers in Bollywood as well, with Aurangzeb.

Dileep is the darling of the box office and his films ensure amazing crowds, regardless of their merit.

Kammath & Kammath, Sound Thoma, Sringaravelan and Nadodi Mannan were brainless entertainers, forgotten by the critics, but they set the cash registers ringing.

The year-end release, Ezhu Sundara Rathrikal, turned out to be a bad choice.
