Get your low down on what's happening in the world of Telugu cinema, right here.
These days it's not easy to find films running beyond a week or two. However, one film which has gone down well with the audience and has had a scuccessful run is Ala Modalaindi.
Produced by Damodar Prasad and directed by debutante B V Nandini Reddy, the movie has crossed 55 days. The rom-com is still running successfully in theatres.
A function to celebrate 50 days was held recently with quite a few film personalities like filmmaker Dasari Narayan Rao, actress Jayasudha, actors Sumanth, Rana Daggubati and Varun Sandesh, etc attending it. The film's producer Damodar Prasad, director Nandini Reddy and cast comprising Nani, Nithya Menen and Rohini were also present.Dasari claimed that with Ala Modalindi, 'Nandini Reddy had joined the likes of Vijayanirmala and Bhanumathi.'
Rana Daggubati's first Hindi film Dum Maaro Dum -- directed by Rohan Sippy -- is slated to hit the theatres on April 22.
The film's publicity is already in full swing, with the Dum Maaro Dum item song, and trailers.
Well, Rana is doing his bit too.
Along with co-stars Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Prateik and Deepika Padukone, Rana was spotted at the India versus South Africa World Cup match at Nagpur. These actors released the Dum Maaro Dum song, spoke to the crowd and even sang. Innovative way to club cricket and cinema, India's favourite pastimes!
With good films like Chandamama, Magadheera and Darling and opportunities to act with stars like Prabhas and NTR, Kajal Agarwal's career graph in T-Town is soaring.
The news is that she is all set to re-enter Bollywood with the remake of the Tamil film Singam (starring Suriya and Anushka Shetty) which was a huge success at the box office. Rohit Shetty will direct the remake and Kajal will be seen opposite Ajay Devgn.
Let's hope her second innings will be more fruitful than the first where she had a miniscule role in the Aishwarya-Vivek Oberoi starrer Kyun...! Ho Gaya Na!
