Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, Lootera is a period drama based in 1950s.

Costume designer Subarna Ray Chaudhari reportedly did an extensive research to get the look right.

Sonakshi Sinha plays a Zamindar's daughter, who studied in Shantiniketan, in West Bengal, a place where the legendary Rabindranath Tagore lived and wrote many of his literary classics.

Lootera will release on July 5.
