Television isn't so coy any more.

There's a lot of romance, and now, lovemaking is also being telecast at prime time.

Zee TV's popular show Jodha Akbar -- starring Paridhi Sharma and Rajat Tokas in the title roles -- saw some steamy scenes earlier this week, as the couple consummated their marriage after a year of marriage.

The couple also declared their love for each other on the show.

Jodha and Akbar’s union had soured initially because of misunderstandings that had cropped up between the two.

Later, truth dawned upon them when they realised that their possessiveness was a result of true love.

This isn't the first time producer Ekta Kapoor has used such a ploy to hike TRP ratings.

Earlier, Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar's lovemaking episode in Bade Achche Lagte Hai was also much watched.
