Ahead of her new film Ek Thi Daayan's April 18 release, Ekta Kapoor took off for the Kumbh Mela in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, with two of her film's stars: Emraan Hashmi and Huma Qureshi.

The film producer -- joined by priests and other devotees -- took part in the maha yagna to bring good fortune for her new film.

Ek Thi Daayan also stars Konkona Sen Sharma and Kalki Koechlin in pivotal roles, and has been directed by debutante Kannan Iyer.

At the mela, Kapoor was apparently alloted a tent that had been vacated by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg.
She later took a boat ride in Sangam -- the holy confluence of rivers Ganga Yamuna and Saraswati.
