Bollywood masala at Mirchi Music Awards

Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif arrive for the Radio Mirchi Awards in the suburban Bandra Kurla complex in Mumbai.

The star-studded night saw the creme de la creme of the music as well as film fraternity, where the winners in Hindi film music were announced.

Katrina later ditched her shawl to join Shahid Kapoor on stage and performed to some rocking numbers.

The awards show will be telecast on February 21 at 10 pm on Sony Entertainment Television.

Besides the red carpet -- which was teaming with A-listers like Akshay Kumar -- the night also saw performances by singers like KK, Sunidhi Chauhan, Rekha Bhardwaj, Himesh Reshammiya and Usha Uthup.

What happens when newlyweds Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra decide to play cricket with school kids?

Well, it means loads of fun. That is exactly what happened at Mt Carmel School in Ahmedabad when the IPL Rajasthan Royals co-owners visited the girls' school to promote sports.

The school staff and children welcomed the couple by releasing 100 blue and white balloons, the signature colours of the Rajasthan Royals.

Shilpa and Raj also captained two teams for a cricket match.

Angelina Jolie visited earthquake victims in Haiti in her latest trip to help survivors of the natural disaster, as a goodwill envoy for a United Nations agency. She is reportedly drawing plans to adopt an orphan from Haiti.

The actress was purportedly moved after visiting the paediatric ward of Dario Contreras Hospital in neighbouring Dominican Republic.

The Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees was said to have discussed relief aid with the country's president Leonel Fernandez, The Sun reported.

Jolie has three children with partner Brad Pitt, plus eight-year-old Maddox, adopted from Cambodia, five-year-old Zahara, from Ethiopia and six-year-old Pax, from Vietnam.
