A nude photograph of Marilyn Monroe is on sale for 5000 pounds.

Christie's will hold a specialist sale in November to sell the 1962 photograph of Monroe, taken shortly before she died.

The provocative shot is part of a series called The Last Sitting, which catapulted American photographer Bert Stern to fame, the Sun reported.

Bert Stern clicked 2,500 photographs of Marilyn Monroe in 1962 for Vogue magazine, six weeks before the iconic beauty died.

The celebrity photographer published a book about the sexy shoot, Marilyn Monroe: The Complete Last Sitting, in 1992 and recreated those iconic poses with actress Lindsay Lohan in 2008.

James Bond to sport a beard for the first time

Daniel Craig will be sporting a beard for his latest Bond flick, Skyfall, making him the first Bond to do so. Compared to the tight blue trunks Craig had to wear in Casino Royale, it must be a dream getting used to growing whiskers.

Skyfall will be made on a shoestring budget as compared to other extravagant Bond flicks.

'They've really scaled back.'

'The lavish production and locations have been cut.'

'There is only a reduced cast and crew travelling to the few overseas destinations.'

'There's not so flash hand-to-hand fighting, it's gone back to blowing stuff up -- including London's Vauxhall Bridge,' The Sun quoted sources as saying.

The latest flick will feature classic car chases -- one of the highlights of Bond films.

Shooting for the film will start in London and Scotland from next month.

Matt Damon to make directorial debut

Matt Damon's dream of directing a movie has finally been realised.

The 41-year-old hunk is now set to step behind the camera for a drama flick co-written by John Kasinski.

The Hollywood heavyweight, who has been guided by top directors including Martin Scorsese and Steven Soderbergh during his career, has previously spoken about his desire to direct a film one day.

'I've been treating the last 12 years like a film school,' Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

Damon will star as a salesman in a small town in the as-yet-untitled film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
