A R Rahman is not disappointed about losing the Oscar to Randy Newman.

The composer informed that his son wanted Randy to win whereas Randy's son wanted Rahman to win!

'What a night... My son Ameen and me saw Toy Story 3 a couple of months back. When the Academy Award nominations for songs came in he said he wanted Toy Story's song to win... Well... It came so naturally from him... At the same time, Randy Newman's son Amos Newman, who is my manager in the US, wanted "If I Rise" to win because he was passionately behind the production, organizing the whole thing. A couple of days back, I asked Amos, "Is blood thicker than bread?"  He had a confusing smile!

'Twenty nominations and a charming personality. Randy Newman deserved it,' he posted.

The cast of Joker took a break from their shooting in Chandigarh to celebrate Mahashivratri in style on Wednesday.

Akshay Kumar posted a picture of co-star Sonakshi Sinha and himself, and tweeted, 'We're having our own lil 'Jai Jai Shiv Shankar' here in Chandigarh.Wishing u all a very Happy Maha Shiv Ratri from all of us on the sets of Joker!'

Sonakshi Sinha sent out greetings from the sets. 'Jai jai Shiv Shankar! Maha shivratri mubarak... from all of us on the sets of Joker :)'

Meanwhile, Preity Zinta, who was in Shirdi, wasn't happy with the media attention she got at the temple. 'Good morning! Went to Shirdi yesterday and came back with memories of media pushing me instead of the serene face & energy of Sai Baba ! I wonder why r temples have become so commercial ? Why A temple trustee's urge 2 b photographed with a celebrity is entertained by media ?  I fold my hands to the media & request In front of god we bare ourselves and look to purify our soul. Instead of feeling uplifted i came back feeling sad & deprived from Shirdi. In the rut to make anything news have we forgotten to respect god and someone's genuine devotion? Dem 2 Respect us & respect GOD! Not every celebrity goes 2 a temple 4 Tamasha! Some genuinely go 2 pray & 2 disturb them then is BAD KARMA ! Maybe this experience was his way of taking away all the negativity; & 4 the future I have brought his statue home from Shirdi ! :-) Ting!' she tweeted.
