Bringing you all the action from the recently concluded awards show!

The 66th Primetime Emmy awards, held a few hours ago at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, US, was not without its staple high points -- big wins for several acclaimed television shows and a riot of colours, cuts and designs on the red carpet.

Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry, 48, sure knew how to turn heads, as she arrived in a stunning mauve gown by renowned Lebonese fashion designer Eli Saab.

Among the big winners of the night were ABC's hit sitcom Modern Family, and Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul starrer Breaking Bad -- continuing their winning streak at the Emmys.

Breaking Bad stars Aaron Paul, Anna Gunn and Bryan Cranston celebrate their wins -- Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series respectively -- at the Emmys.

The show, about a cancer-stricken teacher-turned-drug kingpin, won Outstanding Drama Series nod too.

"Thank you so much for this farewell to our show. You have been very kind to us indeed," said creator Vince Gilligan.

Cranston joked that even he thought about voting for True Detective star, and recent Oscar-winner Matthew McConaughey.

"I don't know why I've been blessed. I love to act and I will do it to my last breath.

"I'd like to dedicate this word to all the Sneaky Petes (his childhood nickname) of the world who thought that settling for mediocrity was a good idea because it was safe. Don't do it -- take a chance, find a passion, fall in love," Cranston said.

Sofia Vergara

Modern Family's onscreen matriarch, actress Sofia Vergara was a complete knockout, as always, in a floor-length Roberto Cavalli number.

Her show picked up three awards at the do -- Best Drama Series (for the fifth time in a row, which ties for most wins with Frasier), Best Director for Gail Mancuso and Ty Burrell registered his second win in the supporting-actor category.
