Namrata Thakker is impressed with the format and the jodis.

Nach Baliye 9 is here and going by the premiere episodes, I think it's going to be a very interesting season with loads of drama and, of course, some fabulous dancing.

This season, the makers have brought ex-couples and current ones together to compete for the Nach trophy and that itself is an exciting and fun concept.

The show kicked off on Friday, July 19, with a bang. We were introduced to the jodis, one by one over the course of three days. Though none of them showed off their moves, it was nice the way they were presented by other celebs.

The first episode was high on entertainment because of Salman Khan, producer of the show this year. The superstar spoke about his exes, indulged in friendly banter with host Maniesh Paul and was obviously the highlight of the first night.

In the first episode, Urvashi Dholakia spoke candidly about her four-year long relationship with ex Anuj Sachdeva and also revealed the three conditions that she put forth to do the show with him.

Kundali Bhagya actress Shraddha Arya shed some light on her relationship with beau Alam Makkar which was under the wraps up until now.

Other jodis introduced in the first episode were Vindu Dara Singh and wife Diana Umarova, Babita Phogat and Vivek Suhag, Prince Narula and Yuvika Chaudhary.

The two judges -- Raveena Tandon and Ahmad Khan -- took centre stage on Saturday's episode and gave whistle worthy performances on the Nach dance floor. Raveena made quite an entry dancing to her popular number Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast.

The second night's episode introduced us to more jodis which -- Madhurima Tuli and ex beau Vishal Aditya Singh, Anita Hassanandani and hubby Rohit Reddy, Aly Goni and ex-girlfriend Natasha Stankovic, Shantanu Maheshwari and his current girlfriend Nityaami Shirke.

Madhurima and Vishal got into an argument soon after they were introduced as Nach Jodi. However, the situation cooled down quickly courtesy Salman and witty one-liners.

Aly and Natasha performed with Karan Patel who presented them. Salman Khan was super impressed with their act and so was I. This jodi is definitely to watch out for.

At the end, Salman entertained everyone by dancing to his song Slow Motion from Bharat.

The third episode on Sunday unmasked the final three jodis. Mouni Roy gave a stunning performance on Ghar More Pardesiya and presented Saurabh Raaj Jain and wife Riddhima.

Faisal Khan and Muskaan Kataria's jodi was revealed by Mohit Sehgal and Sanaya Irani, who performed to Coca Cola Tu.

And finally, we were introduced to Keith Sequeira and wife Rochelle Maria Rao. The two were presented by Dipika Kakar and Karan V Grover who performed beautifully on the title track of Dhadak.

The Sunday episode ended with Maniesh Paul burning the dance floor and the judges explaining the scoring system. Overall, I had fun watching the first three episodes, but I want to watch the jodis perform on the Nach floor.

That's when things will get more interesting and spicy. I am waiting for the next weekend!
