Mohanlal Puli Murugan

On his birthday, May 21, Mohanlal wrote a blog post, expressing his gratitude to all his fans.

On the same day, the superstar also gave his fans a sneak peek into his forthcoming film, Vysakh’s Puli Murugan, by unveiling its teaser.

Puli Murugan is the story of a wild hunter, produced under the banner of Mulakuppadam films.

Udayakrishna, of the erstwhile Siby K Thomas - Udayakrishna duo, is the scenarist.

The big budget drama, which is easily one of the most awaited movies of the year in Malayalam cinema, has action by Peter Hein.

Apart from Mohanlal, the film also stars Jagapati Babu, Makrand Deshpande, Kamalini Mukherjee and Kishore.

Kammatipaadam makes Manikandan a star

Rajeev Ravi’s Kammatipaadam has opened to good reviews, but the real surprise package of the film is actor Manikandan, who played the character named Balan.

Kammatipaadam talks about the lives of a few young men from a slum in Ernakulam, who end up as criminals, becoming pawns at the hands of others who use them for their own benefits.

Dulquer Salmaan plays the lead in the film along with Manikandan and Vinayakan, who unleashed a terrific performance in the film as Balan’s younger brother, Ganga.

Manikandan is a theatre artiste, who has been active doing street plays.

He is thrilled by the response for his role and is now looking forward to the new offers which have already started pouring in.
