Kannada actor Shivrajkumar invites Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan for daughter's wedding

Kannada superstar Shivrajkumar, the eldest son of the late Mr Rajkumar, visited Chennai to invite his friends from the Tamil film industry to his daughter's wedding.

The actor and his wife met superstars Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan to extend their invitation. 

The couple also invited Dhanush, Sivakarthikeyan, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Nasser and Atharva Murali.

Shivrajkumar's daughter Nirupama, a doctor by profession is engaged to Dileep, also a doctor. The couple will tie the knot on August 31.

M K Stalin, the DMK party treasurer, is also one of the invitees.


Anjali joins Karthik Subbaraj's Iraivi team

Pizza and Jigarthanda fame director Karthik Subbaraj is busy with his next venture, a multi starrer titled Iraivi.

The latest to join the team -- comprising Vijay Sethupathi, S J Surya, Bobby Simha, Karunakaran and Kamalinee Mukherjee is Anjali.

Anjali was last seen in 2013's Tamil film Settai. She is known for her wonderful performance in films like Angaadi Theru and Engaeyum Eppothum

In Iraivi, she is paired opposite Vijay Sethupathi.

The film is being produced by CV Kumar's Thirukumaran Entertainment in association with Studio Green. Santhosh Narayanan will compose the music.


Ilaiyaraaja's musical tribute to veteran composer MS Viswanathan

Ilaiyaraaja and M S Viswanathan have worked together in hit films like Mella Thirandhadhu Kadhavu and Vishwa Thulasi.

The maestro considered MSV his guru and is planning a special event in the memory of the veteran composer, who passed away last week.

The show will be held at Kamaraj Arangam on July 27 to coincide with the 13th day ceremony of MSV. This musical tribute, titled Enullil Ulle MSV, will feature some unforgettable classics from MSV's compositions.

Popular singers S P Balasubramanyam, Yesudas, Mano, Janaki, P Suseela, Chitra and Vani Jayaram will be part of the show.
