When Sanjay Khan's memoir The Best Mistakes Of My Life was launched in Mumbai on Sunday, October 28, the actor-film-maker's old friends trooped in to make the event memorable.
Present at the launch at a Bandra five star were Dr Farooq Abdullah, the former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister, one of Sanjay Khan's old friends, Shatrughan Sinha, the BJP MP from Patna Saheb, and Hema Malini, the BJP MP from Mathura.
Of course, Sanjay Khan, Shatrusaab and Hemaji are movie industry buddies and live in the same neighbourhood, Juhu.
Sanjay Khan's children Farah Ali Khan, Simone Arora, Sussanne Khan and Zayed Khan were, of course, present along with their spouses DJ Aqeel, Ajay Arora and Malaika Parekh.
Hrithik Roshan, present at most Khan family dos even after he split up with Susanne, gave the book launch a miss.
"I had never thought of writing an autobiography, but the process made me relive most parts and made me value my life, my friends and those who stood by me even more," Sanjay Khan told the gathering.
He then read out an excerpt from the book, about a man he described as his 'mentor and greatest inspiration', the late Raj Kapoor.
