'I have been loud on my previous shows, but I am going to control my temper and work on my tolerance level.'
Bigg Boss OTT'S Divya Agarwal is not new to reality shows.
Besides being a part of Splitsvilla, Ace of Space and Roadies, she also entered the Bigg Boss house in its 13th season when her ex-boyfriend Priyank Sharma was a contestant.
Divya began her career as a dance choreographer and ran an academy at the age of 17 with over 700 students. Later, she joined the Terence Lewis Academy and gained recognition.
She has also worked as Katrina Kaif's body double in ads. She will be seen in a prominent role in the gangster drama, Cartel, which streams later this month.
Before entering the Bigg Boss house, Divya chatted with Rediff.com Senior Contributor Rajul Hegde, and says, "I will try to keep the toxic people away, so that I can perform the tasks better."
Do you think you have an edge over others as you are a regular on reality shows and even won MTV's Ace of Space?
Definitely. It's going to be easier for me when it comes to performing under pressure and with cameras around all the time.
Ace of Space was even more challenging because we had to survive in a very small place with people we had just met.
The contestants of Bigg Boss will have an advantage if they have seen me in my past reality shows. I don't know how much that will change my game but I am completely prepared for it.
My real life struggles have given me an immense amount of confidence and I have become fearless.
I think I have been preparing myself knowingly or knowingly for this show.
I love my personality; hope people love my personality too.
I will try to keep the toxic people away, so that I can perform the tasks better.
People generally sign up for the show when they need a push in their career.
Yes. But I am seen in one of my biggest projects, Ekta Kapoor's Web series Cartel and I have a pivotal role in that.
So everything is good outside.
I am doing Bigg Boss to discover myself and showcase my individuality.
In an interview, you have said that your tongue is your weapon.
My tongue is my weapon for many reasons. It's not only for fights and arguments, but also for speaking sense and standing up for the right reasons.
I have been loud on my previous shows, but I am going to control my temper and work on my tolerance level.
I am going to speak only when needed.
I hate to fight for meaningless topics.
I have always spoken my heart out. Honesty is my real weapon.
I may just look into their eyes and the silence may scare the shit out of everyone (laughs).
Do you think it will help you if your actor-boyfriend Varun Sood steps inside the Bigg Boss house?
No, he is my weakness.
A show like Bigg Boss is about your individuality.
At times, it becomes difficult to decide for yourself or somebody you love.
I don't want him to stress me out. I just want him to come and see me in the family week or probably promote his work (laughs).
Any contestants in the past seasons that you have liked?
In Bigg Boss Season 14, I liked Rubina Dilaik and Rahul Vaidya.
I know they were fighting against each other, but I used to like both of them.
Have you taken any tips from your ex-boyfriend Priyank Sharma?
Not really. He has explained a few things about the show to me.
I am going to do what I feel is right and follow my heart.
Karan Johar is the host of Bigg Boss OTT. Your thoughts?
He is quite an entertainer himself.
The first film I worked on was Karan Johar's Student of the year. I was a background artist.
