Dhurandhar - The Revenge: Storms Past Rs 900 Crores

Dhurandhar - The Revenge, is the biggest Hindi film ever, crossing the monumental Rs 900 crore mark in a record-breaking run.

Lay down the red carpet. Blow the trumpets. Pop the champagne. Indian cinema has a new record holder to its name. Call out the name DHURANDHAR - THE REVENGE really loud, as the film is now the biggest grosser ever from Indian cinema in a single language.

A New Benchmark in Indian Cinema

The record was held by Dhurandhar which released just four months ago. The film had collected Rs 896 crores (Rs 8.96 billion) in its lifetime run.

Well, the second part has now turned out to be far bigger as the film has netted a humongous Rs 900 crores (Rs 9 billion) and that too in just 15 days plus paid previews.

Surpassing Expectations and Setting New Goals

While the Rs 1,000 crores (Rs 10 billion) mark will be crossed in the next few days, it would be interesting to see if the film breaches the Rs 1,100 crores (Rs 11 billion) mark. That will ensure that between the two Dhurandhar movies, Director Aditya Dhar would have delivered a Rs 2,000 crores (Rs 20 billion) spectacle. By the way, here we are talking about just the Hindi versions.

Pan-India Success and Future Prospects

Since Dhurandhar had released in just Hindi, its lifetime of Rs 896 crores stays as is. However in the case of Dhurandhar - The Revenge, the collections are even bigger if one includes the south versions as well. Rs 61 crores (Rs 610 million) have come from the southern languages.
